How to Add Competitors in SEMrush?

SEMrush is an excellent tool for digital marketing research. It allows you to compare your website's performance with those of other websites.

Adding Competitors in SEMrush

To make this feature work, you'll need to add your competitors into your SEMrush account.


Step 1: Open a SEMrush account

First, create a SEMrush Account. You have the option to sign up for either a trial period or a paid plan depending on what you need.

Step 2: Add your website

After you have created an account, you'll need to add your website to SEMrush in order to track its performance over time. Simply enter the URL of your website into the search box at the top, and then click "Start now".

Once you are on the competitor's tab you can either search for their websites or use SEMrush’s "Competitor Discovery” feature to locate competitors in your industry.

Step 5: Analyze competitor's data

After you've added your competitors, SEMrush will provide data that can be used to analyze their performance. This includes their organic search traffic & backlinks. This data can be used to improve your website's performance as well as to develop digital marketing campaigns that work.

Step 6: Track and monitor

After you've added your competitors to the list and analyzed their data you can track their performance and monitor it over time. This will enable you to keep up to date with industry trends and make data-driven decisions regarding your digital marketing strategy.
